The clothes that were used in “Fashion Fire” were originally created for various television shows. They eventually began to take up too much space in my studio, so I started to seriously consider ways to get rid of them. I decided to make a few more romantic dresses, in order to then destroy them. Working on them was a great joy because I knew I would eventually burn them.

Baring yourself to the point of revealing “the absolute truth” can lead to total exaltation. It turns out that getting rid of one’s vanity and obligations could be quite pleasurable.
