The bespoke wedding dresses I was making for a while were usually received with a such strong reaction by the people for whom they were intended that it seemed as though the garment and all it symbolized was the projection of their entire life. The idea of the joyous woman in that very specific moment provokes the singularity of the wedding as a theater performance, which is always amateurish and overly dramatic.
