Over a period of ten years, I was seriously and exclusively dedicated to the design of clothing. Naturally, I’ve always wanted this design to be original, unique, and recognizable. As a designer, my initial motivation, including when I was a student, was to create clothes for myself, although I eventually started making them entirely for other people. By contrast, as an artist, I continue to focus on and engage with myself.

“Multi–me” was a fashion collection of seven identical clothing silhouettes that was showcased on a theater stage in seven separate but simultaneous dances. There was no preliminary work on the performance—it was not rehearsed and no strict instructions were given in advance. The only condition was for the presentation of the clothes to happen within the context of contemporary dance, in which the garments ended up dominating the action on the stage.
